it doesnt have to be a big deal to be something that creates joy and happiness. A morning verse ... Often we go for big change and feel defeated if it doesn't land. The thing with mental health and personal growth is that often changes unearth a lot we were masking or hiding from. Don't forget to breath Our values are a great help for guiding us through life. But sometimes it isn't clear cut and we have to step back and reflect on how we feel in mind, body and spirit. Sometimes we need to make tough decisions when there is no clear cut event or reason. Trust your instincts. Tiredness can be lots of things really. Depending on who you are and your environment. But there is something significant in this quote. The things we do for ourselves, or are aligned to our true self, tend to build joy, resilience and motivation, regardless of how challenging they are. Or having at least a balance of these can help. There is an old saying that you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink. And for many people, the frustration they feel when those around them 'just don't get it' can be all consuming. Always like seeing research and studies on screen time impacts. While the study behind this one was only of 200 youth I can certainly vouch for the findings of reducing screentime for young people. In the end they just don't have the self control and awareness to manage screen time themselves. Losing passions, connections, self esteem and the increases in mood swings. I've found lower moods in general, loss of creativity and motivation. Turn towards. Such a simple yet powerful act for all relationships. Sometimes it's a real challenge amongst the busyness, or frustration.
